Government and PTI Standoff: Exchange of Accusations Intensifies

Aliema Khan’s Take on the Situation

Aliema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, speaking outside Adiala Jail, revealed that the founder would likely remain incarcerated for the next three to four months. She stated that if two specific demands were met, the call to halt remittances from overseas Pakistanis could be withdrawn. However, without progress on these demands, the remittance boycott would begin immediately.

Aliema further explained that Imran Khan’s demands include the formation of a judicial commission for the May 9 and November 26 incidents and the release of arrested party members. However, she accused the government of lacking genuine intent to address these issues.

Shah Khawar and Shoaib Shaheen’s Criticism
PTI leaders Shah Khawar and Shoaib Shaheen voiced strong criticism against what they described as politically motivated cases against Imran Khan. Speaking outside Adiala Jail, Shaheen accused authorities of fast-tracking cases against the PTI founder while ignoring similar cases against other political figures like Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif.

Shaheen alleged that significant financial losses in cases such as the Al-Qadir Trust were baseless accusations. He claimed the funds benefitted Pakistan, yet Imran Khan was framed. The leader also highlighted instances of favoritism towards judges ruling against the PTI.

Civil Disobedience Call: Deadlines and Future Plans
As civil disobedience gains traction, Latif Khosa and Salman Akram Raja updated the media. While Khosa announced the deadline’s conclusion, Raja clarified that overseas chapters remain mobilized to halt remittances. The ultimate decision hinges on the government’s actions in the coming days.

Conclusion
The growing political crisis in Pakistan is reflected in the continuous hostility between the PTI and the government. Both sides are holding firm, with PTI pushing for judicial commissions, prisoner releases, and accountability. The coming days will determine if PTI Calls for Dialogue prevails or if the standoff escalates further.
