Security Will Be Made Foolproof During Rabi' al-Awwal: Karachi Police Chief Javed Alam Odho

Karachi Police Chief Javed Alam Odho has directed that the security for 12th Rabi’ al-Awwal be made absolutely foolproof and has called for strict legal action against terrorism.

An important meeting regarding the arrangements for 12th Rabi’ al-Awwal was held at the Karachi Police Office under the chairmanship of Karachi Police Chief Javed Alam Odho. The meeting was attended by the three Zonal DIGs, DIG Traffic, District SSPs, religious scholars, organizers, and other officials.

According to the spokesperson for Karachi Police, the meeting conducted a detailed review of measures and other matters related to Rabi’ al-Awwal. The religious scholars and procession organizers present at the meeting shared the issues they face concerning the 12th Rabi’ al-Awwal and provided information about the security route for the procession.

The Karachi Police Chief attentively listened to the briefing and assured them of solutions. The spokesperson stated that the police chief has issued instructions to ensure that, in accordance with the security plan, the security for 12th Rabi’ al-Awwal is made foolproof and that strict legal action is taken against terrorists and other criminal elements.

He also instructed that foolproof security for religious scholars be ensured, along with maintaining peace and order in the city. On this occasion, the Karachi Police Chief thanked the participants and assured them of full cooperation.

The moon for Rabi’ al-Awwal 1446 Hijri has not been sighted in the country.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee’s meeting was held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Kohsar Block, Islamabad, chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.

No testimonies of moon sighting were received from any part of the country, after which the Chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee made the announcement.

He stated that the 1st of Rabi’ al-Awwal will be on Friday, September 6, and 12th Rabi’ al-Awwal will be on Tuesday, September 17.

During a press conference, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad mentioned that Rabi’ al-Awwal coincides with the golden jubilee of the Day of Finality of Prophethood on September 7, 1974, and that Defense Day will also be observed on September 6.

He emphasized that the message of Pakistan should resonate in every household, and acknowledged the sacrifices of the soldiers of the Pakistan Army.

The meeting was chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, and representatives from SUPARCO, the Meteorological Department, and the Ministry of Science and Technology were present.

Additionally, zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meetings were also held at designated locations.
