The Road to Retirement
Imad initially announced his retirement in November 2023, only to reverse his decision in March 2024, expressing his availability for the T20 World Cup. Despite being included in Pakistan’s squad for the tournament, Imad couldn’t deliver significant performances during the event.

During the 2024 T20 World Cup, Imad played two innings, scoring 19 runs off 29 balls. As a bowler, he delivered 11 overs across three matches, conceding 44 runs and taking three wickets.
Imad Wasim Remarkable International Career
Imad Wasim’s international career has been commendable:
- ODIs: Represented Pakistan in 55 ODIs, scoring 986 runs in 40 innings at an average of 42.86, including five half-centuries. As a bowler, he took 44 wickets in 53 ODI innings.
- T20Is: Scored 554 runs in 50 innings at an average of 15.82 and a strike rate of 130, with one half-century. As a left-arm off-spinner, he claimed 73 wickets in 74 T20 innings.
