Chaudhry Shujaat and Pervez Elahi Meet After a Long Time, Hopes of Resolving Differences

After a considerable period, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi met with Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain in Lahore.

According to sources, this meeting between Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervez Elahi was facilitated by Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain, who played a key role. Chaudhry Wajahat persuaded Pervez Elahi to meet with Shujaat, reminding him that Shujaat is older and should be approached.

During the meeting, Shujaat and Pervez Elahi addressed their grievances with each other. Both agreed to resolve their personal and family issues through mutual discussions.

Sources further revealed that the meeting focused solely on improving family relations, and both leaders avoided discussing political matters.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman Visits Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain’s Residence, Discusses Political Situation

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman visited former Prime Minister Shujaat Hussain’s residence, inquiring about his well-being and discussing the country’s political situation.

Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce Shafay Hussain was also present at the meeting. During the conversation, Shujaat Hussain highlighted his long-standing relations with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, stating that his family’s ties with Fazlur Rehman go back to the era of Chaudhry Zahoor Elahi, when Fazlur Rehman’s father, Maulana Mufti Mahmood, shared a close relationship with his family. He affirmed that these relations with Fazlur Rehman continue to be strong and will remain so.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed that Shujaat Hussain is a senior and dear friend. While the primary purpose of his visit was to inquire about Shujaat’s health, Shujaat celebrated the August 22 Supreme Court ruling by serving sweets and congratulating him on the success regarding the finality of prophethood.

At the meeting, Maulana Amjad Khan informed Shujaat that the resolutions passed in the National Assembly in 1974, along with the full proceedings, have been compiled into book form. The five-volume book will be sent to him soon.

The meeting concluded with a prayer for Shujaat Hussain’s complete recovery. Former federal minister Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain, JUI spokesperson Aslam Ghori, Hafiz Naeem, Hafiz Ghazanfar, and JUI Deputy Secretary of Information Maulana Amjad Khan, among others, were also present.
