Evidence of the use of foreign weapons brought from Afghanistan in Pakistan has once again come to light

Evidence of the use of foreign weapons brought from Afghanistan on Pakistani soil has once again surfaced.

For the past two decades, the Pakistan Armed Forces have been fighting a war against terrorism. Recently, there has been an increase in terrorist incidents in Pakistan originating from Afghan soil. Terrorists from Afghanistan attempt to infiltrate through the Pak-Afghan border, targeting not only security forces but also innocent civilians.

It is evident to everyone that “terrorists consistently receive foreign weapons from Afghanistan.” The supply of weapons to terrorists has significantly harmed regional security.

On December 13, Customs and security forces also recovered modern foreign weapons from a vehicle coming from Afghanistan to Pakistan hidden in onion bags, including modern American-made M4, American rifles, and grenades.

The smuggling of modern foreign weapons from Afghanistan to Pakistan and the use of foreign weapons by the TTP against security forces and the Pakistani public raises significant questions about the Afghan interim government’s claims that its territory is not being used against Pakistan.

According to the Eurasian Times, foreign-made weapon are also being used in the TTP’s terrorist activities in Pakistan. According to the Pentagon, the United States provided a total of 427,300 combat weapon to the Afghan army, with 300,000 remaining at the time of withdrawal. This has led to a significant increase in terrorism in the region over the past two years.

According to the Pentagon, from 2005 to August 2021, the United States provided $18.6 billion worth of equipment to the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces. After the U.S. withdrawal, these weapons have aided the TTP in cross-border terrorist attacks.

All these facts indicate that the Afghan regime is not only arming the TTP but also providing a safe passage for other terrorist organizations.
