In absentia funeral prayer for Ismail Haniyeh held in National Assembly, attended by Prime Minister and other members

An in absentia funeral prayer for the martyred leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, was held at the Parliament House, attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other members of the National Assembly.

The in absentia funeral prayer was held for Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was martyred in an Israeli attack in Iran two days ago, at the Parliament House.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, federal ministers, parliamentarians, media representatives, and Parliament employees attended the in absentia funeral prayer for Ismail Haniyeh. Prayers were offered for the forgiveness of Ismail Haniyeh, and a national day of mourning is being observed across the country for his martyrdom.

It is noteworthy that a unanimous resolution condemning the martyrdom of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was passed in the National Assembly today.

During the assembly session, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar presented a resolution on the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh. The resolution stated that due to Israeli atrocities, over 40,000 Palestinians have been martyred. Pakistan opposes all forms of terrorism and rejects Israeli atrocities.

The resolution expressed support for Palestinian brothers, condolences on the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, and demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has reached Qatar to participate in Ismail Haniyeh’s funeral. The Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh will be buried in Qatar today.

It is clear that the funeral of the former Palestinian Prime Minister and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was held in Tehran, Iran’s capital, yesterday.

On July 31, former Palestinian Prime Minister and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was martyred in an assassination attack in Iran. Hamas confirmed his death and claimed that Jewish agents targeted him, vowing to avenge his death.

At the start of the National Assembly session, Jamshed Dasti raised slogans of “Long live Palestine” and “Death to Israel,” followed by prayers for Ismail Haniyeh. Maulana Misbahuddin led the prayers for forgiveness.

The National Assembly also passed a resolution condemning the murder of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh today.
