During the 981st Urs of Hazrat Ali bin Usman Al-Hajveri in Lahore, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar inaugurated the milk stall. He stated that Pakistan, its provinces, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan are like a united bouquet.
Ishaq Dar noted that Pakistan was founded on the Kalima (Islamic declaration of faith) and will endure forever. He credited Mian Nawaz Sharif for making Pakistan a nuclear power.
On the electric umbrella project, Ishaq Dar announced a new automatic umbrella system, from the mosque to the courtyard, inspired by Medina. He aims to complete it by the next Urs while expanding Data Darbar continues.

The Deputy Prime Minister urged prayers for Pakistan’s prosperity and development. He highlighted Pakistan’s leadership of 57 Muslim nations and its nuclear status, achieved through divine blessings and prayers. He recalled Mian Nawaz Sharif’s pivotal role in the 1998 nuclear program.
If there hadn’t been political instability, Pakistan would be an economic power today
Ishaq Dar reflected on Pakistan’s potential, saying political stability could have made it the 24th largest economy. He cited rapid growth from 2013 to 2017, with global predictions of joining the top 20 economies. Today, inflation and high electricity prices burden the nation, but ongoing efforts under Prime Minister’s leadership aim to revive the economy.
Dar mentioned that inflation dropped from 35% to 11% this year. He expressed confidence that terrorism, eradicated during Nawaz Sharif’s tenure, will be defeated again. Through collective effort, Pakistan will achieve the vision of Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam.
Addressing media questions, Dar clarified that if Punjab reduced electricity rates by 14 rupees per unit, other provinces shouldn’t be blamed.
No Tolerance if Red Line is Crossed
Ishaq Dar reiterated that attacks on Pakistan’s security institutions are a red line, and crossing it will not be tolerated. He criticized unwarranted objections to Punjab’s relief efforts, stating that nothing with the PPP is unsolvable.
Dar recalled the 126-day sit-in, which ended due to his negotiations, affirming that the law is prevailing. He advised PTI not to choose protest dates that disrupt public life and government work.
In 2013, Pakistan faced 18-hour load shedding and frequent terrorist attacks. International bodies predicted a 10-15 year recovery, but Pakistan turned things around in three and a half years. Global leaders praised the country’s progress.
