The Government is Sending a Message that the Demands are Unfeasible, Says Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman

Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has stated that the government is sending a message that the demands are unfeasible.

While addressing a sit-in protest by Jamaat-e-Islami against electricity prices and inflation in Rawalpindi, he mentioned that in two negotiation sessions, the government had no answers to any questions.

He said the government is trying to convey that Jamaat-e-Islami’s demands are not feasible. He clarified that he has not made any demands that are unfeasible.

According to the Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, the government has only one option, which is to implement the demands and reduce electricity prices. They should charge us only for electricity and not take additional taxes.

He stated that the Pakistani nation will not pay capacity charges.

He announced that if the government does not rectify things within two days, does not move the discussion forward, and does not present its case before the media, they will take all the actions he has previously mentioned.

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman mentioned that their sit-ins will increase, they will sit on the streets, and they will strike.

Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Liaqat Baloch said that if the government appears unserious, they will withdraw from the negotiations.

Jamaat-e-Islami leader Liaqat Baloch stated that if a committee comes out of a committee, then there will be a protest at Committee Chowk.

It is to be noted that Jamaat-e-Islami’s sit-in against high electricity prices and inflation has entered its seventh day, while the government has asked for more time to make progress on Jamaat-e-Islami’s demands.

On July 29, while addressing Jamaat-e-Islami’s sit-in against inflation and heavy electricity bills, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that everyone, including the Prime Minister and Chief Ministers, should be given 1300cc cars, and all judges should also be provided with 1300cc cars. The burden of large cars is being placed on the public.

On July 26, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman stated that wherever workers encounter obstacles, they should hold a sit-in there. We will turn one sit-in into many sit-ins.

It is to be remembered that on July 11, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan announced a sit-in in the federal capital Islamabad on the 26th of the month.

Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman stated that the public is not receiving any relief, and all the claims of the rulers have proven false.

He mentioned that the people of Pakistan have paid $42 billion in the name of IPP, and these amounts are collected from us through electricity bills and taxes. He questioned how much tax President Asif Zardari has paid.

Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami announced that tomorrow protest camps will be set up across the country and decided to hold a sit-in in Islamabad on July 26. If the government believes that there should not be a sit-in, it should provide relief to the public.

It is noteworthy that earlier, on July 1, Jamaat-e-Islami had announced a sit-in in Islamabad on July 12 against the increase in electricity and petrol prices.
